Welcome to Furqan, provided by Furqanwear.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it secure when you use the Furqan app.

Our approach is simple: privacy by design and minimal data collection.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

Account Information:
If you choose to sign in, we collect authentication data through Google Sign-In and assign a random anonymous user ID.

Voluntary Data:
You may optionally provide a name for personalization. This is never required.

Location Data:
We access your device’s location only to calculate accurate prayer times and determine the Qibla direction. You can disable GPS at any time and manually select a location in Settings.

2.2 Automatically Collected Data

Usage Data:
Basic interaction data such as feature usage and timestamps, used only to improve performance.

Diagnostics & Crash Reports:
Anonymous device information (device type, OS version, crash logs) collected via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs and improve stability.

2.3 Chat & AI Data

FURQAN AI Conversations:
Your messages are encrypted before storage. Queries are processed using secure, industry-standard AI infrastructure solely to generate responses.
We do not use your data to train public AI models.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use data only to:

Provide accurate prayer times and Qibla direction

Power the Furqan AI assistant

Sync preferences across devices (if signed in)

Fix bugs and improve app stability

Respond to support requests

We do not sell your data.
We do not show ads.
We do not track users for marketing.

4. Data Storage & Security

We apply strong, industry-standard protections:

Encryption: Chat data is encrypted using AES standards

Storage: Data is stored securely on your device and on Firebase Cloud (Google)

Access Control: We cannot read your encrypted chat messages

Secure Transport: All data transfers use HTTPS/TLS encryption

5. Third-Party Services

To operate Furqan, we rely on trusted infrastructure providers. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy and security standards.

Firebase (Google): Authentication, database hosting, crash reporting

AI Infrastructure Providers: Secure processing for AI response generation

Aladhan API: Prayer time calculations

Google Sign-In: Optional account access

6. Your Rights & Data Control

You remain in full control of your data.

A. Instant Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all server data directly from the app:

1. Go to Settings, then Account & Data
2. Tap Delete Account & Data
3. Confirm the action

This deletion is immediate and irreversible.

B. Local Data Removal

Uninstalling the app removes all data stored on your device, including chat history and preferences.

7. Data Retention

Chat History: Stored until you delete it or delete your account

Usage Logs: Retained for up to 90 days for diagnostics

Deleted Data: Permanently erased and cannot be recovered

8. Children’s Privacy

Furqan is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
