A Message You Wear on Your Back

All of the print is words, in white. On the back, under a small “f” below the collar, “FROM HIM TO HIM” sits in big bold capitals, with “A heart that beats toward home” underneath. On the front, the Furqan name crosses the chest in thin, widely spaced letters. Down at the hem there is a small three-line quote: “A messy return is better than a perfect distance.” The word “mesy” is crossed out and “messy” is written in by hand above it. That is on purpose. Even the line about coming back is a little untidy, the way most real returns are. Because every print is text, there are no faces or animals anywhere on the shirt.

What “From Him To Him” Means

Muslims say it when they lose someone or something: Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un, “to Allah we belong, and to Him we return” (Al-Baqarah 2:156). The back print shortens that into four words: what you have came from Allah, and you are on your way back to Him. The hem quote adds the human side. Coming back imperfectly is better than staying at a distance while you wait to feel ready.

These T-shirts are cut oversized from the start. The shoulder seam drops onto the upper arm, the body is wide and straight, and the short sleeves fall toward the elbow. Canada and the US: free shipping on orders over $80. Orders are dispatched in 1–2 business days and arrive in 1–3 business days in Ontario and Quebec, 5–7 in the rest of Canada and 3–7 in the United States.
European Union: free shipping on orders over €100, delivered in 10–14 business days. Import VAT and duties are paid on delivery.
Australia and New Zealand: free shipping on orders over $250, delivered in 10–20 business days to Australia and 14–20 to New Zealand. Duties are included on orders under $1,000.

Cotton can shrink a little if it is washed or dried too hot. Wash your Furqanwear T-shirt at 40°C or lower on a gentle cycle to keep its size and shape.

How do I wash a printed T-shirt so the print lasts?

Turn it inside out and machine wash warm on a gentle cycle, no hotter than 40°C, with similar colours. Do not use chlorine bleach or dry cleaning. If it needs ironing, iron it inside out on medium heat.

Are oversized T-shirts modest?

The loose cut helps. An oversized cotton T-shirt hangs away from the body rather than clinging to it. The sleeves are short, so sisters often wear it over a long-sleeve top.
